The Reviver RPLATE is a digital license plate that replaces your standard rear metal plate with a weatherproof E Ink display. It shows your plate number and registration status, renews your registration through the Reviver app instead of DMV stickers, and lets you personalize the plate with a light or dark display and approved banner messages. It connects over Bluetooth and LTE, runs on a replaceable battery rated for up to four years, and mounts with an anti-theft bracket.

Yes. California passed AB 984 in October 2022, authorizing digital license plates as a legal replacement for metal plates, registration stickers, and registration cards for every vehicle registered in the state. Reviver is currently the only approved provider. An RPLATE purchased and registered in California is legal to drive anywhere in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

Yes. The RPLATE displays your existing plate number, including personalized and most specialty plates. Some specialty plates are limited to a single display mode or a fixed banner.
The E Ink display keeps showing your plate number without power, so the plate stays legal. The battery is replaceable and rated for up to four years.
Yes. The plate can be moved to a new vehicle and re-registered through the Reviver app. We can re-install it for you.
